Joomla SEO: Redirect 301, Robots.txt and Search Engine Bots
Joomla SEO: Redirect 301, Robots.txt and Search Engine Bots was created by Trony
If You change some URLs (Joomla Menu, Kunena Category, etc.), You don't forget to add in robots. txt a Rule for to Block Search Engine Bot for the Old URLs.
Example
I used a Redirect 301 in my htaccess because I changed Menu Name and Alias Menu.
Code:
RewriteRule ^multimedia/videos$ /videos [L,R=301]
So I added to my robots.txt this Rule otherwise Search Engine Bot (Google for example) can give Duplicate Title or/and Duplicate Description
Code:
Disallow: /multimedia/videos$
"Music and Electronic Devices Designer. Drum and Bass Addict. Creative Mind as Lifestyle. Cat in past Life. Football, Ice Hockey and Snowboard Lover. Marxist."
